Order of the Arrow
Tetonwana Lodge 105
Brotherhood of Cheerful Service.
Scouting's Honor Society
The Order of the Arrow is Scouting America's national honor society. Founded in 1915, it recognizes Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify cheerful service, camping, and leadership — and it is one of the few programs in Scouting where members are chosen by their own unit, by vote of their fellow Scouts.
Tetonwana Lodge 105 serves the Sioux Council. Arrowmen here support camp promotion, service projects, and summer camp staffing across our properties, while carrying forward the traditions that have shaped the Order for more than a century.
The Obligation
I do hereby promise, on my honor as a Scout, that I will always and faithfully observe and preserve the traditions of the Order of the Arrow, Wimachtendienk Wingolauchsik Witahemui.
I will always regard the ties of the brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow as lasting, and will seek to preserve a cheerful spirit, even in the midst of irksome tasks and weighty responsibilities, and will endeavor, so far as in my power lies, to be unselfish in service and devotion to the welfare of others.
The Admonition
The admonition of the OA is not readily available. This is by design, as it is intended to be known only to those who are members. It is not surprising that you may have forgotten the admonition; the Ordeal ceremony is intended to be the climax of an intense experience, and the exact details of it may not be clear until later.
