Important: Monthly figures are equivalents of annual national fees, not a monthly payment option. Unit dues and optional items may be additional. Your actual checkout amount may differ if applicable discounts, credits or prorated fees apply.
Renew before year-end
If your registration expires on or before December 31, 2026, renew before year-end to retain current national rates and avoid a lapse in membership.

Membership FAQs
Are national and council membership fees the same thing?
No. The national registration fee is set by Scouting America. The Prairie Peaks Council fee supports Scouting locally. The fee table displays both and their combined annual total.
Are the Prairie Peaks Council fees increasing in 2027?
No. The local council fee remains $65 for regular youth members and $24 for adults and Exploring youth. Scoutreach youth have no council membership fee.
What does it cost for an adult in Exploring?
Exploring adults register under the adult category: $72 national plus $24 council, or $96 annually.
Do units charge any additional dues?
Some units charge dues for their own activities, supplies or operating expenses. Ask your pack, troop, crew, ship or post about any additional costs.
What if my family needs help paying?
Contact your District Executive. Prairie Peaks Council is committed to keeping Scouting accessible and can discuss financial assistance options with eligible families.
Are monthly amounts a payment plan?
No. The monthly figures shown are the annual national registration amounts divided by twelve for comparison; they do not establish a monthly billing option.
