Reporting an Incident

If an incident, injury, or near miss happens during a Scouting activity, it needs to be reported. Reporting protects the people involved, helps the council respond, and is a required step before an insurance claim can be processed.

An Incident Has Occurred card. Step one, take care of the injured and find a safe place. Step two, preserve and document evidence, and gather photos. Step three, notify your council and complete an incident report. Step four, access additional resources.
